About
How I Got Started
I'm a recent graduate from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's in Art and Design: Games and Playable Media. I love making unique systems that engage players with consistent, exiting gameplay. I like writing stories with relatable, grounded characters, but also like making more chaotic, comedic ones.
My last big completed project was being a Writer/Designer for a game called Cursed Crops, a hybrid tower-defense/action game where you choose the enemies you fight, as well as your defenses! I've done the design work on the different types of enemies and their unique forms of attacking, as well as the drafting and editing of the story, plus various other tasks around all the other departments whenever one of them needs an extra hand for a certain task.

More recently, my friends and I recently finished updating one of our school projects and releasing it on apple devices! I had helped the UI design and art team polish up the game, as well as the coding team to help them get the build working on iOS.

My group has also begun our next big project! We're currently working on a multiplayer horror game with Fnaf elements, as well as building a prototype for a Pokemon Ranger style RPG we may want to make in the future! My current job is to work with one of our coders on the RPG to get a combat scenario working so we can run internal playtests. The current coding challenge we're on right now is recognizing when a player has drawn a circle on the screen, and eventually recognizing different shapes as well.
